Auggies new country for the year is Canada! Our trip began with the Empire Builder train from Chicago to Whitefish, Montana. We had our own sleeper car, and for the most part Auggie enjoyed the ride. We then drove up to Canada where we stayed in Canmore for a few days. Adventures included a rafting rip on the Bow River, a ride up the Banff Gondola, hiking in Banff, and high tea at the Prince of Wales Hotel.
The second half of the trip was in and around Glacier National Park. Our first night we stayed at the Village Inn which is in the Park on the southern shore of Lake McDonald. It was an awesome place for Auggie to play in the water, climb on rocks, and take in the incredible view. The last three nights were spent in Columbia Falls in a little Airbnb out in the country. Our neighbors were some lovely horses, and the views from the porch were great. We went on a number of hikes in Glacier, saw lots of deer and a Moose, and went on a boat ride on St. Mary Lake. Overall it was a great trip. We didn't try to overdue it, instead we planned on activity each day and then let Auggie decide how he wanted to spend the rest of the day.
