Another great year comes to a close. We were fortunate to do a lot of traveling in 2025. It started with the yearly trip down to Florida to visit Karen and Al. Every year, Auggie gets more adventurous with his swimming. That was quickly followed by a spring break trip to Copenhagen. We met up with Julia, Jeff and Egan and spent the week eating our way through town. Highlights include a Go Boat ride amongst the canals, meals at a couple Michelin star restaurants, and renting bikes to explore the city. Once school got out, we were on our way to Alaska for a National Geographic cruise with Karen. Everything about it was incredible - the people, food, unique experiences and obviously the views. We traveled all over South East Alaska and then finished up the trip in Glacier Bay. See July's post for a full run down. The last big trip of the year was out to the East coast. We flew into Jersey, rented a car and hit up all the New England states before visiting Bill and Jenny in Maine. It's always so peaceful visiting them, and it meant a lot to be able to bring Auggie. We then went down to a rented house in Woodstock, NY and had a great time connecting with Huck and Justine. In between all of this we went camping a number of times in Two Rivers, and had a great Lucas family get-together up at the cabin in Moose Lake.
On the personal side, Auggie is doing a great job of being 4. He started 4K in the Fall, and is keeping busy with Karate and Piano. He just earned his yellow belt, and is sight reading Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer! This was the year that he started really enjoying playing with Lego's, which makes Chris incredibly happy. Elyse is doing an incredible job creating community projects with her students. She has had student work shown at the Symphony, Performing Arts Center and the new public Library. She's even been on the news a couple of times! Chris is doing more art then normal. He's involved with a local drawing club that does figure drawing every other week, and has started shooting film again. Dewy is alive and more groany and cuddly than ever.
We wish you all good health and many adventures during this next year!
